Position Summary
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities by generating warm leads and connecting potential customers with the appropriate teams within Hurckman Mechanical, as well as hitting individual sales goals. This role focuses on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and ensuring a smooth transition of opportunities to internal teams. The role requires strong skills in networking, prospecting, and creating opportunities for our teams to focus on providing effective solutions to our customers.

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, lead generation, and strategic outreach.
- Act as the initial point of contact for potential clients, understanding their needs and directing them to the appropriate internal teams for follow-up.
- Generate and qualify warm leads, ensuring they align with Hurckman Mechanical’s core services (refrigeration, piping, HVAC, plumbing, insulation, and electrical).
- Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients through regular communication and follow-ups.
- Facilitate introductions and transitions to internal experts, including estimators and sales teams.
- Attend client meetings and industry events to identify prospects and increase brand awareness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, customer interactions, and opportunities in CRM software.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely responses to client inquiries and seamless communication.
- Continuously research and monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Consistently achieve and surpass individual sales targets and lead generation objectives to contribute to overall company revenue growth.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Willingness to learn and understand core mechanical contracting services to facilitate effective introductions.
- Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), and other lead management software.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in sales, lead generation, or business development is a plus.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, generate leads, and facilitate connections to the right internal resources.
- Ability to manage multiple leads, track progress, and ensure follow-through on all opportunities.
- Ability to identify new prospects and contribute to the overall growth strategy of Hurckman Mechanical.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage clients, build rapport, and clearly convey next steps.
- Ability to listen to and understand client needs to ensure proper alignment with internal teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills to initiate and nurture professional relationships.
