KK Integrated Logistics
Overcoming building challenges to deliver HVAC excellence
The Challenge
Hurckman Mechanical Industries (HMI) faced significant challenges in the KK Integrated Logistics project in Neenah, WI, primarily due to the immense size and age of the building. Our goal was to design and install a brand-new hot water heating system using four (4) 4000 MBH BTU hot water boilers to provide sufficient heat to the 1.2 million sq ft. building. Extensive investigation was necessary to identify areas obstructing proper heating, including open holes and duct penetrations requiring removal. Additionally, the building’s age demanded caution during removals to address potential asbestos and structural concerns.
The Solution
Effective communication between HMI’s production and engineering teams facilitated the identification of issues and tailored solutions to meet KK Integrated Logistics’ requirements. Collaboration with the customer and other on-site contractors played a crucial role in ensuring project success.
The Results
Hurckman Mechanical successfully provided a suitable heating system for the customer’s application and needs. The team adeptly addressed additional challenges encountered during the project. Ongoing engagement with the customer demonstrates Hurckman’s commitment to continued support for their HVAC needs.
